AquaMost has developed a unique water-purification device based on a patented technology developed by University of Wisconsin scientists. The AquaMost device rapidly, economically, and effectively destroys a variety of pathogens in water, including bacteria, viruses and fungi. These include (1) hormone mimics (endocrine disruptors) such as bisphenol-A that can cause reproductive failures, birth defects, and cancer; (2) pharmaceutical drugs such as pain killers, antibiotics, and stimulants; (3) industrial contaminants including the gasoline additives BTEX and MTBE; and (4) agricultural chemicals such as herbicides and insecticides.
